The event is called a Celebration of Sport which is hosted by the Department for Communities.
The event will feature over 30 sports for your pupils to try and world-class athletes for your pupils to meet and be inspired by. This is our 12th year delivering the event on behalf of DfC (previously DCAL) and our first time in Carrickfergus and Newtownards. It’s a great opportunity for your pupils to come out and try some new sports that aren’t offered under normal curriculums.
On the day we will have climbing walls, traditional pitch sports, street sports such as bmx and scooters, boxing, martial arts, angling, archery, netball, yoga, cycling, mini sport challenges and much, much more! The activities are exclusively delivered by governing bodies of the sport or by recognised clubs in the local area. The quality of coaching is of the highest and safest standard.
The Celebration of Sport is aimed at P6 & P7 pupils and we are delighted to welcome as many classes as you can bring on the day.
Our team will provide a schedule for your classes that will let them try a range of activities and sports on the day, it’s sure to be the highlight of the week if not term for all!
The event is FREE for all but numbers are strictly limited so we would recommend getting your registration forms in early to guarantee your spot.
