Craft in the Square
Continuing a project that Patrick had worked on in previous employment, Ards & North Down Borough Council approached TheEventsPros.com to work with them on the delivery of the their Creative Peninsula Craft in the Square event.
Creative Peninsula artists and makers were exhibiting, demonstrating, and selling their unique hand-crafted products in Conway Square for one-night only. With a selection of ceramics, textiles, print, jewellery, paintings and mixed media on offer and a drop-in area for children’s arts and craft activity provided by Boom! Studios.
Live music added to the the evening from Los Dramaticos and The Cool Hand String Band, as well as a great selection of local artisan food and drink produce available.
TheEventsPros.com supported ANDBC with the planning of artists, production of site maps, event plans and risk assessments and were on site for the entirety to lead the event, Allowing ANDBC staff to support their artists and enjoy the event.
Hillsborough lights up
Patrick was approached to be part of the install team for Culture Creatives Christmas Lights at Hillsborough Castle. The month of work was a great insight in large scale ticketed events and we look forward to seeing the lights when the trail opens up to the public.

The supremely talented Bjorn Identity
TheEventsPros were delighted to be asked by a previous client of Patrick to re-kindle an existing relationship. For years Patrick delivered in-store events to IKEA in Belfast, unfortunately that faded away during covid as social distancing put pay to any of the activities he would have previously managed for them including Santa Grottos, climbing walls, summer staff and much more.
Thankfully though with Covid restrictions a thing of the past, IKEA reached back out to Patrick to start bringing back some of the previous activities that IKEA had been so well known for.
So on Friday, TheEventsPros were delighted to bring Bjorn Identity back to IKEA Belfast to take centre stage at their Winter Party. The intimate gig was loved by all and it was great to back helping our friends at IKEA.
Keep an eye out over the next few weeks for a big jolly man in a red suit making an appearance at everyones favourite Swedish shop!
What goes into an event
Patrick was recently asked to pass on his knowledge of designing and delivering events to Limestone United - a cross-community project based in North Belfast. The group have used sport to break down barriers and promote Anti-sectarianism, Equality, Friendship, Trust, Engagement, Community and Active Citizenship. Recently the group has tasked their members to give back to their community and important local causes by delivering events.
Patrick has always felt that running events are great life skills so was only too happy to be asked to pass on some of his knowledge to this group. We talked at length about some of the pitfalls to avoid when running events and how to set your event up for success by having a robust plan in place.
Thanks Limestone United for having us and good luck with your future events, we can’t wait to see what you get up to!
